The New White House Council on Women and Girls

The buzz began to circulate earlier this week regarding the new council at the White House. Yesterday President Obama made it official. With Valerie Jarrett at his side, the President spoke about the need for the council and it’s mission.

“The mission of the Council will be to provide a coordinated federal response to the challenges confronted by women and girls to ensure that all Cabinet and Cabinet-level agencies consider how their policies and programs impact women and families.”
